Brisbane Vintage Auto Club Car of The Month October 1996

From Vintage Views (club Magazine)

This car was stored under a house at Manly for eight years awaiting restoration. Prior to that it was stored for five years by the previous owner. On the 16th October 1983 she was carried home on a trailer by Ron and Yvonne Buckley who had to tie a rope around its middle to hold everything together., as what was left of the woodwork was no help.

A few days later the Dismantling began, nothing was left untouched, every part was appraised, replaced as necessary.

The paint used was Dulux 2K Acran (a two parts mix). The Timber was replaced with Tasmanian oak. The wheel spokes with Silver Ash, they were machined by Dudley Duffield of Nambour from material supplied by Maurie Maunsell.

The hood , seating and carpets were the work of Ron's brother Bill, and many thanks went to Club members who assisted with advise and otherwise.

The car was finally ready for the road and registered in May 1989 and her first Club outing was to Sanctuary Cove
