Essex - These are actually new in box rebuilt connecting rods, wrist pins & clips. These are currently on ebay (auction #4537064636). Auction ends on march 28, 2005. I do not know what year or model these are for. 6 of Federal Mogul # 23N and 4 of # 23P. I called Federal Mogul on 3-18 to confirm what car or truck these were for. They said they were for an Essex but could not say what model or year. I also called a few old established auto parts stores to see if they were listed in their catalogs. One fellow said they were for a Packard or Hudson but I tend to believe what Federal Mogul said. The boxes are rough but the rods are fine. Will need a cleaning. They have been on a shelf for 30-60 years. They have new babbit and pin bushings. The set of 8 pins are Elgin # 822 .0015. The rods and your pistons will have to be honed to accept this oversize pin. The casting number on the rods is 38552. They have a cast in oil dipper on the bottom cap and come with parting line shims . Overall length including the dipper is 11 1/16 inch. I did some searching under antique & collectable car parts on the web but could find no info......yet. Still searching. Shipping weight is 26 pounds from Chicago USA. Perhaps these may be for an essex six (1926) or super six ('27-'28-'29). February 1929 Essex - any - carparts - head lights - Valance door and window handles and many other parts = in good condition.
