John Fowler and Company

In 1862 John Fowler and a locomotive manufacturer William Hewitson Started the company Hewitson and Fowler - Hewitson died a year later and the firm became John Fowler and Company.

The 1948 Fowler Dozer is one of the earlier tractors made by John Fowler and his company, Fowler & Co. It was a deserving follow up to the 1947 Fowler Crawler. As a Fowler, it obviously has some of the trademarks of the company. It is a track-type tractor, which means it works well on areas with greater contact surface and soft ground. Of course, as a follow-up, this means the 1948 Fowler Dozer is certainly more powerful than the predecessor.
